Analogies have been made that the Iranian regime is the Middle East’s North Korea. Such an analogy fails to comprehensively characterize Tehran’s role in the region, as well as identify the differences between North Korea and Iran.When it comes to their roles within their respective regions, the Iranian regime plays a much more destabilizing and destructive role than North Korea does.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) on Sunday reported that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has recruited Afghan immigrant children living in Iran to fight in Syria.“Afghan children as young as 14 have fought in the Fatemiyoun Saudi Arabia's, NCRI, (IRGC), (HRW), Fatemiyoun ,division, an exclusively Afghan armed group supported by Iran that fights alongside government forces in the Syrian conflict.
NCRI - It has been discovered that the Iran regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has been recruiting children to go and fight in Syria on Iran’s behalf. The children are Afghan immigrants that live in Iran and are as young as only 14 years-old.Researchers at Human Rights Watch have found this out by reviewing gravestones at cemeteries in Iran.The young Afghans fought in the Fatemiyoun division which is an armed group made up exclusively of Afghans.
Officials from the Trump administration have been saying for a long time that Iran is a huge issue when it comes to its Syria policy. They have said that it is essential that Iran is stopped from expanding its power, especially as the Islamic State falls.Syrians agree with this, as do other nations such as Israel and Jordan.However, questions are now being asked about whether it is too late to act on any intentions.

Much to the dismay of Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah arranged for hundreds of ISIS fighters from Syria and Lebanon to be deported to border areas between Syria and Iraq. This aroused suspicion about Hezbollah and the Iraqi Prime Minister was not happy about the deal because of the battles against ISIS in Iraq.
